The pilot episode of the prequel miniseries is entitled “Past Transgressions” was a success. It featured a young Batiatus being in control of his father’s gladiator school, the House of Batiatus. Once her finally set foot as the new owner of the ludus, he immediately began the plot of making a profitable business out of his gladiator school. In order to succeed, he prepared his most skilled fighter in good condition and used him to win in order to gain the favor of a rich and cunning nobleman who could help him fund the building of the new arena.
