Merlin is a British fantasy-adventure TV series about a young sorcerer who arrives at the city of Camelot after his mother arranges for him to stay with Gaius, the court physician. The series is being aired every Saturday, 7:30 PM on BBC 1. It is based on the Arthurian legends of the mythical wizard Merlin and his relationship with Prince Arthur, but differs from traditional versions of the legend in many ways, especially the characters.

Based on the story, Merlin discovers that the King, Uther Pendragon, has banned magic and has caged the last great dragon at the deepest portion of the city. The dragon informs Merlin that he has an important destiny of guarding Uther’s son, Arthur, who will bring forth a great kingdom, totally different from the way of his father’s ruling. When Merlin met Arthur for the first time, he believes that he is arrogant and Arthur views him as submissive, as Merlin has to keep his magic a secret or face execution at the king’s hand.

The previous episode showed how Arthur and Merlin embarked on a dangerous mission of capturing the “Cup of Life”, a powerful magical artifact that carries the gift of immortality. Unfortunately, before they were able to take hold of the cup, they fell prey to Jarl, a crooked slave merchant. “The Coming of Arthur, Part 1” is the title of the next episode of Merlin and its airing schedule is on November 27.
