Smallville is an American television series which was developed by Alfred Gough and Miles Millar. The television series first premiered on October 16, 2001. The series follows the life and adventures of Clark Kent played by Tom Welling, who lives in the fictional town of Smallville, Kansas, before his formative years as Superman. The first four seasons chronicles Clark and his friends’ high school years. The show embarked on more adult texture since season 5, eventually focusing on his job at the Daily Planet, as well as introducing other DC comic book heroes and villains.
